Feedback on the conference

david howey

Thanks for another amazing conference – I had a really great time, caught up with many friends and colleagues, and came away with many fresh ideas and questions. You have created something really special. The atmosphere is friendly, welcoming, professional, and a perfect balance of engineering and science.

Battery Day NRW | Advanced Battery Power

We were delighted to welcome more than 850 trade visitors from all over the world to the Battery Day NRW 2025 and the subsequent two-day Advanced Battery Power Conference 2025. Scientists, developers and engineers from all areas of the battery value chain met at the Eurogress in Aachen for the 17th international conference ‘Advanced Battery Power – Kraftwerk Batterie’. Over the course of the two-day event, the interested specialist audience had a total of more than 70 presentations to choose from.

Poster exhibition

With 270 posters, the poster exhibition was an unmissable and significant milestone for the Battery Conference 2025. We would like to express our sincere thanks for this committed participation. The winners of the Poster Prize 2025 can be found below.

Exhibition

Almost 50 international exhibitors from academia and industry gave interested trade visitors a wide range of insights into products and developments relating to electrical storage solutions, battery production and applications.

Evening reception

The participants created an exuberant atmosphere at the evening event in the Coronation Hall in Aachen Town Hall. The highlight was the presentation of the poster prize by Prof Dr Winter and Prof Dr Sauer.

The Battery Conference 2025 with the NRW Battery Day on 1 April 2025 and the international conference Advanced Battery Power on 2 and 3 April 2025 brought together experts from science, research and development along the entire value chain of batteries and battery technologies.

The latest research findings and first-hand information as well as cross-industry content on all aspects of battery development, production and application made the conference both challenging and attractive. International keynotes provided additional insights into the latest developments.

Co-organisers and cooperation partners of the HDT were the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia (MWIKE) as well as CARL & ISEA (RWTH Aachen), MEET Battery Research Centre (University of Münster) and the Helmholtz Institute.
